My friend Carl Edwards found a Variegated Flycatcher along a trail at Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Palm Beach County, Florida.  I believe this is the fourth record for the State of Florida and the first for Palm Beach County.  This species is normally found throughout much of South America, which makes this such an amazing find!  I was lucky to have gotten great looks yesterday, September 17, 2025.  This is the second one that I have seen in Florida, truly an amazing bird!
