The month of September in Florida can be perfect for migrants.  October can also be a great month when some of our first cold fronts move through.  If you get a rainy cold front moving through overnight, many migrants will be grounded.  We have a major hurricane heading to the west coast of Florida.  This will ground many birds which can allow birders to observe them.  This current Hurricane is named Milton, it is a big one and will cause a huge amount of damage as it moves onshore.  In my area, we will have tropical storm winds and lots of rain.  I was able to get out before the rain started and had some nice migrants.  I have posted pictures of a Prothonotary Warbler, an Acadian Flycatcher, and an early Western Kingbird, early for the season.
