The Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is pretty common in the Big Cypress Swamp and the Fakahatchee area of South Florida. I’ve only ever seen one in the Miami area in a local park many years ago. It is a gorgeous butterfly that I wish could be found in the more suburban areas. It probably was found more commonly in the Miami area years ago. I’m sure the Miami area has way too much development for this species to survive there.
